Notice of Public Hearing

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT Council of the Town of Port Hawkesbury is considering amending the Town’s Land Use By-law by:

  1. Altering the maximum floor area requirement for accessory buildings from currently 70 square metres to 70 square metres or ten percent of the total lot area (whichever is greater); and
  2. Introducing the requirement that accessory buildings be consistent with the architectural style of the main building on the lot.

Copies of the Staff Report providing more detailed information on this amendment can be inspected at the office of the Eastern District Planning Commission, 32 Paint Street, Unit 4, Port Hawkesbury on business days between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or at www.edpc.ca.

Any written or oral presentations (in favour or in opposition to the proposed amendment) can be made before Council at the Public Hearing to be held:

Monday, November 5th, 2017 at 6:30p.m. in Shannon Studio, Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.

Posted October 25th, 2017 in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Government Act.
